In early 2016, Canadian Baptist Women of Ontario and Quebec gave a New Initiatives Grant to Aimee Hurtubise, director of Ntlo ya Setshabelo.
This is her thank you letter.
When you support CBWOQ, you help us give a leg up to ministries that help vulnerable women and youth at risk, ministries like this.
Qwa Qwa home

Greetings to the wonderful, generous Baptist Women,
My name is Aimee Hurtubise and I am a missionary with Ignite South Africa. And I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of our Maternity Home for orphaned or at risk pregnant teens, through your New Initiatives Grant.

In our part of South Africa there are currently no social services or support programs for pregnant teens, so this home will meet a very real need in our community.  The Maternity home will be a safe place for these girls to be cared for and supported throughout their pregnancy and beyond. It will allow them to stay in school, as well as the opportunity to learn both life and parenting skills within the home.

We will also connect each girl to an amazing godly mother or grandmother within their community who will mentor and support them while they are with us in the home with the hope that it will continue after they leave us.

It is our dream that each girl that comes through our doors will leave knowing that they are loved and supported by us and more importantly by God and that they are fully equipped to be the mother that God designed them to be.

None of this would be possible without your support and we are so thankful that you are joining us in this endeavour. Many girls as well as their children will get to know the love of Christ and have the hope of a better future because of you. Thank you once again for everything.

God Bless,
Aimee Hurtubise
