The LOVE DAY team at Gilmour Memorial Baptist Church learned something on LOVE DAY:

More than a few of the church’s neighbours believe in the Lord.

The team visited over 30 houses in the church’s neighbourhood, offering heart-shaped cookies, a flier about the church and a warm invitation to drop by the church anytime. “I was surprised by how open people were to us,” remembers Gilmour’s pastor Ben Denhoed. “And the matching T-shirts caught the attention of the people in their homes.”

Some neighbours shared prayer requests when asked. “We were scared to go to the first few doors, but people were so welcoming to us that we had no need to be nervous or afraid,” says Sarah, one of the teens who led the group door-to-door.
