Prayer and Study Resources for Baptist Women

Printer-friendly version Send to friend

Keep It Alive (Romans 12:11-12) is our theme for 2013-2015.

Eight Baptist women from Ontario have brought this theme to life for you . . . writing 14 fully developed programs to start any women's group on planning a one-of-a-kind event. With topics ranging from food insecurity to how to do a manuscript study, you'll find a program for your group that challenges and inspires.

They’ve organized all the material into four modules: Keep It Alive, Joyful Hope*, Patient Suffering and Faithful Prayer. And opening pages give you the theme's recommended reading list and words of welcome from executive director Brenda Mann.

Every March and November, join your sisters in Christ to pray for the world.

Baptist Women's Day of Prayer

The effective and fervent prayer of a righteous woman changes things.

When you pray for us, we do our work with confidence and glee.

When you pray with us, women around the world step up, speak up and change the world.

Celebrate World Day of Prayer Events with our Partners

Developed every year by Canadian Baptist Women and used by hundreds of women across our CBOQ churches.

Each year’s study gives a different take on a woman you thought you knew. Each year, the offering you collect at the study goes to Canadian Baptist Women (CBW)/Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) projects. For the next three years, your offerings will support victims of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Our CBW combined support  will help victims of rape through counselling, the formation of support groups, medical assistance, food aid and access to micro-credit.

So, get the women in your church organized; book off one night in January and do this year’s study. And remember to make your cheque out to Baptist Women of Ontario and Quebec, with GCBS written on the memo line.

Thank you.
