It is with sadness we announce that Laura Matthews will not be returning to CBWOQ after her maternity leave.  Laura handled all office administration with an accurate diligence and a keen eye for detail; stamped her excellence in design, volunteer leadership and coordination on all our Conferences and events; co-founded  and led UpTick Baptist Women – CBWOQ’s discipleship program for emerging Baptist women leaders; was instrumental in starting the ministry’s racial justice programming.

Here are some of her words to our executive director, Helena Bergen:
“I have greatly enjoyed my time at Baptist Women and have appreciated the opportunity to create and facilitate events and programs such as Uptick that I believe developed and encouraged many people. I have learned a lot while here and have grown personally and professionally… It is evident to me that God is nudging me towards new experiences and work as I continue to attend to my family.”

Our thanks to Laura for her years of service to CBWOQ and the many ways in which she moved the ministry forward.  She will be missed.
