free spiritual formation resources created by CBWOQ

From creating a small group series designed to help women share their spiritual lives with others, to building a discipleship program for women of all ages and stages wanting deep Christ-centred transformation in their lives and ministries,  your donations to CBWOQ enabled staff and volunteer leaders to create these and other resources  . . . and offer them at no cost to all women across our Canadian Baptist churches in Ontario and Quebec.

Thank you for your gifts through the year and for the gift you may want to give before December 31.
(Cheques must be in the mail by December 31 to be attributed to your 2021 income tax receipt.)

As you review these resources, remember – every one of resources may be just the catalyst for deeper spiritual transformation in you and in your community.

Soul Sisters (three series of small group sessions)
In 2021, we offered Soul Sisters online – with great uptake and success

Here are some testimonials from women who took part in that experience:

“Soul Sisters can develop a level of intimacy between participants with freedom to be vulnerable and go deeper with God. It encourages silence and reflection, really listening to one another, listening together for God–without embarrassment, or hurrying–even within a one-hour (60 minutes!) time frame.”

“I want to take this opportunity to share how very much I enjoyed Soul Sisters 1! I found it to be a unique experience, unlike anything else I have participated in during my Christian experience. To connect spiritually with other sisters and to learn to truly listen to each other’s experiences has been both refreshing and uplifting.”

Carol also took part in 2021’s online program. Read her testimony in live magazine here.

Complete
This program launched in early 2021, inviting women leaders of all ages and stages to missional and spiritual formation development.

Our group connected very quickly and met in between the main sessions occasionally. We had a very, very thoughtful gifted facilitator! Our space felt very safe for sharing, reflecting, authentic discussions and prayer. Thank you!!!  Guest speakers were excellent! I took notes and re-read them after each session. I especially appreciated the input session re identifying one’s ‘leadership voice’.
Complete’ was a star 5 experience for me this year. Kudos to the planning committee for making it happen!”
Patti McDonald, participant in first Complete cohort

prayer walking
In 2021, lock-down orders didn’t stop CBWOQ from inviting women to prayer walk  – through their homes!

Even in these unsettled times, taking a walk reconnects with the certainty of our Lord’s constancy and sovereignty. (Psalm 24:1-3)

room to pray
Baptist Women believes that mission flows out of an authentic transformative experience of God and that experience is rooted in prayer.
Since 2017, we have focused on prayer and different approaches to prayer.

Read two instructive pieces that share Baptist Women’s invitation to consider making room to pray here and here.

Find ideas for rooms, how-to guides, blogs on prayer and more resources plus a gallery of prayer rooms built by Baptist Women to support CBOQ and BWNA Assembly events  . . . all here

prayer and fasting guides
Over the years, CBWOQ has invited women to make room to fast.
When we commit to fast and seek God, He responds in ways that we can only credit to Him (Erza 8).

Explore this resource-rich page here. Scholarly articles, blogs and how-to guides were curated to sharpen our collective understanding of Jesus’ invitation to fast and the implications of that call for our personal lives, ministries and CBWOQ.
