Madison’s Bio

Before moving to Hamilton in 2021, Madison worked at her local church for seven years where she served as a bridge between the community and the church, viewing partnerships with schools and other local organizations as an integral part of the church’s mission in the city. This also included a longer-term commitment to integrating her life in a more impoverished neighbourhood in which she learned about the complexities of poverty head-on and sought holistic community development. She now works at Hope Story, a global missions organization working to educate vulnerable children around the world through the local church, as well as is the Residence Manager at Act Five, an intentional Christian community home for young adults in downtown Hamilton. Between both roles, she lives at the intersection of global and local initiatives, multi-generational engagement, and a multi-cultural landscape. And in that, she seeks to find the Story that threads through it all.
