Are you one who has suffered the trauma of having your home broken into by an intruder?
If so, you no doubt have had to deal with the feelings of violation and fear that descend when you come to terms with the fact that the safety and sanctity of your private space has been compromised. Your sense of peace and security has been broken. But not all break-ins are bad. Not all break-ins leave a trail of fear and anxiety.

God wants to break in to our lives and our world. He in fact desires to be a welcome guest in our world. If all believers fully understood the amazing changes that would take place they would be watching for and enabling that break-in to take place.bGod’s breaking into our world is a model that Jesus expresses in the very familiar words of the prayer in Matthew 6: “Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” When God’s kingdom breaks into our living here on earth, it will, for a moment be heaven-like. It will resemble God’s perfect sin-free plan for His creation.

How amazing it is that God gives every believer the opportunity to be His hands and feet to break into His world with kingdom living. The kingdom of God breaks into our world every time someone gives sacrificially to help another. The kingdom of God breaks into our world every time someone refuses to judge another. The kingdom of God breaks in every time someone loves unconditionally. The list is endless.

How will you facilitate God’s kingdom breaking into our world? How will you be God’s demonstration of love, compassion, mercy or justice? Go ahead today and be one who makes earth a little more like heaven. Then give all glory and honour to Him!
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.”
Matthew 6:9-10
