My name is Aimee Hurtubise and I am a missionary with Ignite South Africa. And I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of our Maternity Home for orphaned or at risk pregnant teens, through your New Initiatives Grant.

In 2015 we gave $135,000 to Canadian Baptist Ministries on your behalf. We requested that those dollars be split equally to support projects aimed at vulnerable women, children and youth at risk and food/community development. What did those dollars fund?

God has blessed us richly! We are growing! We now have 45 children registered and our very first Kingsway rEcess family. We are blessed to have 47 very dedicated volunteers that are anxious to begin our third year.

Through our New Initiatives fund, Farmtown Canada’s Funny Farm Ministries in Alymer, Ontario, received $6,000 to seed their new initiative Farm Girls Rule, an afterschool/evening program designed for girls 8 - 14 in at-risk and under-served rural communities.
