CANADIAN BAPTIST WOMEN OF ONTARIO AND QUEBEC
ADMINISTRATOR & EVENTS COORDINATOR (16 MONTH MAT LEAVE CONTRACT, STARTS JAN 2023)

CBWOQ is seeking to add a part-time, temporary Administrator & Events Coordinator to their team to cover a maternity leave. In this role, you will work closely with a small Christian ministry team, organizing administration and helping to shape the ministry of Canadian Baptist Women of Ontario & Quebec through planning, coordinating and executing events (both live and online) with the CBWOQ team.
● Flexible work days and hours (at least two to three days/month in office)
● Approximately 13 hours/week (less needed July-August, more February to May, and September-November)
● Salary is $1092/month ($21/hr)

Responsibilities: Reports to Executive Director
General Administration:
● Clerical (process incoming mail and large outgoing mailings, manage general email, materials)
● Financial (process deposits, invoices, donations both online and via mail, annual audit prep and treasurer support)
● Computer (database maintenance, web conferencing, creating and maintaining documents)
● Board of Directors (support in-person & online meetings, hotel bookings, expenses)

Event Support:
● Plan, execute and facilitate in-person gatherings in conjunction with CBWOQ team including content, scheduling, programming, liaising with guest speakers/facilitators, registration and logistics (or online conference via zoom depending on social restrictions)
● Coordinating online events using zoom meetings and webinars in partnership with CBWOQ team

Requirements:
● Commitment to personal Christian spiritual life, and life consistent with the core values of CBWOQ
● Good follow-through for event completion
● Experience in mid to large-scale event planning and execution
● Excellent communication skills, able to effectively engage with women of all ages and backgrounds
● Excellent technical skills (MS office on Mac, good understanding of Zoom platform—meetings and webinar, Outlook, Youtube, Filemaker Pro, Canva, Slack), able to problem solve & troubleshoot
● Efficient, accurate, and organized with administrative and financial tasks
● Detail oriented; must be able to work independently, team-oriented
● G license—periodic travel
● Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
● Willing to work some evening and weekend hours
